With at least 50 mutations, the omicron has 30 in the “spike” protein [the “key” that the virus uses to enter cells – the keyhole effect – which is the target of most vaccines against Covid-19].

It was originally discovered in South Africa and the World Health Organization (WHO) declared it from B.1.1.529 as a “concern variant” and chose “omicron” as the name.

With this classification, the new variant was placed in the same group of already discovered versions of the new coronavirus that already impacted the advance of the pandemic: alpha, beta, gamma and delta.

Among alpha, beta, gamma, delta and omicron who will give humanity the worst message? Or, the worst is yet to come!
